Sopana Selvachandran

As Interac Corp.’s Solutions Engineering Lead, Sopana is responsible for bringing new and exciting payments products to market, as well as optimizing portfolio growth opportunities with financial institutions. As an experienced payments leader, Sopana has held various roles at Interac, starting in payments policy and industry affairs. Sopana led the organization’s policy agenda and was pivotal in working with regulators and industry representatives to drive rule changes that enabled Interac’s transit open payments solution. She has also spent several years in Product, specifically in product development and product design roles, focused on enhancing the user experience of Interac products. Sopana has supported the launch of Interac e-Transfer for Business, which offers businesses of all sizes the ability to simplify and accelerate payments for their invoicing and payment needs. Sopana is passionate about bringing innovative payment solutions to market, that help drive businesses and advance the way Canadians pay.
